Satirical cards made by members of boards.ie in the vein of the popular "Magic the Gathering" card game. Usually created when an event or action is repeated so often as to make it clichéd.

The current set of cards are located on this page (redirected from [1]). Many other cards that have not been added to the site yet can be found in the Sticky thread entitled "The Gathering..." in the Photoshoppage forum.

Background

Hobbes orginally came up with the idea for the cards due to immense boredom while waiting to move back from Boston to Ireland. The post is probably still there but WWMan had started his "trolling season" so he created the "WWMan super troll" card. After that "Amps moment of clarity". People found it funny, so he made a load more.

After a while other people started creating more and a page was created on the site with a handy scrollable javascript menu to store them all for easy access.

Most of the original cards have stories around them that relate to the boards.ie history.

New Cards

Since Hobbes originally made the Gathering Cards, there have been many contributions to the deck by other users of boards.ie. Many of the new cards can be found here [2], although some have been lost in the vast gulfs of dodgy file storage.
