A Category Moderator is a Moderator who is charged with the care of an entire Category of forums. Unlike normal Moderators, Category Mods don't get involved in the day-to-day running of forums, rather staying on the sideline, only jumping into action when a spammer appears, or when a potentially illegal, or legally dodgy topic/post appears. Category Mods can ban spammers or otherwise troublesome users from an entire category of forums at once, thereby reducing the amount of clean-up work for Admins and other Mods, and stopping the muppet from causing more chaos.
Category Mods are denoted by 5 silver stars beneath their username and also CMod in their profile.
Category Moderators have the same powers over forums as moderators, but spread over all forums in the category. They can perform the usual tasks across all the forums in their category, including banning users from an entire category.
There is no Category moderator for the hosted category, or system category which are maintained by the SMods and Admins.
